VIDEO: Chimpanzees go 'ape-solutely bananas' for Santa's visit at Florida safari

LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. (WPEC) — Christmas came early for some residents of the drive-thru, cage-less zoo in Loxahatchee, Florida.

Santa Claus delivered gifts to the chimpanzees, who can be seen "monkeying" around, carrying their presents up to a perch, plopping down and tearing them open.

They received exactly what they requested on their wish lists: mostly fruit and hay.
