Jamie Burch

Jamie Burch is the News Director at ABC 7 Amarillo.

He came to Amarillo in 2022 from Waco where he was the Assistant News Director at KXXV.

Burch graduated from Texas A&M in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication.

He began his news career as a producer at KBTX in Bryan before moving on to produce in Dallas and Atlanta.

Burch was previously a News Director at KTXS in Abilene, KBTX in Bryan, and WJHG in Panama City Beach, Florida.

He was also an Executive Producer at WKRG in Mobile, Alabama.

Burch is an award-winning journalist. His many accolades include a Murrow, two Emmy's and multiple AP awards including Best Newscast and Best Digital.

Burch is a Dallas-native and a proud Aggie.
