Fire destroys Eastland County home, owner hospitalized

EASTLAND COUNTY, Texas — Fire destroyed a home in Eastland County on Tuesday afternoon.

Around 3 p.m., Cisco, Eastland, and Rising Star Fire Departments responded to a house fire in the 1400 block of County Road 145, southwest of Cisco.

Cisco Fire Chief Walter Fairbanks said everyone made it out of the house -- including pets. But the owner had to be taken to Eastland Memorial Hospital.

Fairbanks did not know the owners condition.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
