AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Two men were indicted after a street racing crash injured five people.
A Randall County grand jury indicted Michael Seth Clark, 21, and David Gabriel Ortiz, 21, for racing on highway causing serious bodily injury.
According to police, Clark and Ortiz were racing March 6 on Hillside Road.
As they approached Bell Street, Clark pulled his Chevy Camaro into the Walgreens parking lot to avoid the traffic stopped at the red light.
Ortiz lost control of his Dodge Charger and hit four other cars that were stopped at the light.
Police said at least five people were injured and had to be transported to area hospitals.
